The first step in the design process is a visit on site to discuss the project. This meeting will enable me to get an overview as well as to gather information regarding your preferences such as taste, palette and lifestyle requirements. Please bring any images to this meeting that you would like to discuss.

After the initial meeting has taken place, I will create a rough sketch and a mood board for your outdoor spaces. This will be sent to you to clarify the design direction, along with an estimate of hours to complete your design.

If you choose to move forward, the consultation fee is applied towards these hours.

Conceptual Plan

Once the design is booked, I will prepare a conceptual plan for your outdoor spaces to enable you to gain a clearer perspective of the proposed design.

During the design process, your input and feedback are essential, ensuring that any amendments can be made prior to the development of the final master plan.

Please note: As this is a working drawing, under no circumstances should a conceptual plan be issued for construction.

Master Plan

Once the layout of your outdoor spaces is confirmed, I will complete a Master Plan which presents the precise layout of all hardscape and softscape elements according the the proposed design.

Planting Plan

A planting plan showing all areas of your outdoor spaces will include a detailed plant schedule with plant names, quantities and pot sizes. Having extensive contacts with garden centres and nurseries, I keep a direct eye on the quality of plants used on the project.

Please note: Designs are very much dependent on budget. Defining your garden’s budget ahead of time is important to the finished design. Designs take 4-6 weeks to complete.
